Cementing Operations
The program has been developed for operating company and service company personnel responsible for planning, and executing cementing operations. It has been designed for petroleum and mechanical students who aspire for drilling and cementing executive.
In the process of well construction, Cementing is a very important phase. Operator and Contractor personnel must have a good working knowledge of cements, cementing additives, and placement procedures. The program covers the importance of the cement sheath integrity during the life of the well. The parameters that the cement sheath will be subjected to, must be considered. The topic covers the use of cement formulations, weight and volume calculations, cement additives, casing hardware, cement blending, on-site mixing equipment, and a well-planned job procedure. Cementing guidelines that aid in overall job performance will be included.
