Students wait half-heartedly for the time of enrolment of internship. In majority cases, students have to accept the unwanted industry for the shake of fulfillment of university norms where they waste their valuable time and money.

Drilling Mentor has got the internship solution for Petroleum, Mechanical and Chemical students. It executes internship project based on Oil & Gas Drilling only. The Oil & Gas upstream lovers can get the topic of their choice and they initiate their preparation for getting into Drilling job from the day one.

The internship programs offered by Drilling Mentor feature challenging projects combined with numerous learning and development opportunities, thus helping audience learn more about the ever-changing drilling industry.

Interpretation on drilling and well control equipment will provide you an opportunity to explore your career aspirations and develop the technical knowledge and personal skills you’ll need for a successful and rewarding career. The experience will include visiting equipment yard and workshop.

Throughout your time with us you’ll receive unstinting support from our team. They will work with you to set your objectives at the beginning of your tenure, monitor your progress and suggest improvements, as well as ensure you have the support and technique you need to succeed. During your internship, you’ll be asked to prepare, complete and present a specific project. You’ll also be benefited from a detailed and focused appraisal process to guarantee you get the most from your experience.

Also, you’ll be assigned a Mentor who will share with you the knowledge and insight they have gained from their on-the-job experiences and years of service. And mentors aren’t just for networking and knowledge-sharing – they often become lifelong friends!

Internship programs designed and developed by Drilling Mentor are open for any candidate pursuing a bachelor’s / master’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering irrespective their semester. Non-student (passed out) in Petroleum, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering can also enroll.

Our Programs

Internship programs being offered by Drilling Mentor are unpaid and fee-based. These programs have been designed and developed with a strategy to facilitate an intern with an advanced level overview of the subject and help them determine whether they can move ahead with the subject as their career.

What will you do as an Intern?

As an intern with Drilling Mentor you will initially attend an induction where you will meet the Drilling Mentor Team as well as the instructors and mentors assigned for the area you are joining. You will then be assigned a specific project, taking on real responsibility and adding value from the beginning. Throughout your internship you will gain both on the job training as well as group-based learning to develop both technical and soft skills. Alongside this, you will be assigned a mentor for the duration of the program; helping you to reach your maximum potential.

Beyond Academics

Do you enjoy the extracurricular activities on your university campus? Find them at Drilling Mentor, too! The way we engage our interns is perhaps the biggest draw to our summer and winter intern program. Whether you are participating in an informative Lunch-‘n-Learns, working and helping rig hands fix a particular issue, climbing the stairs of a drilling rig, or challenging your fellow intern on a drilling quiz, you’ll build new knowledge and relationships that will last forever.

In every project you will learn field practices that make our mentoring beyond academics. We suggest students to enroll all basic topics one by one to complete the tour of the domain and be armored with concept and skill to accept drilling as career.

Who can enroll?

Internships are available for university students studying for a UG/ PG degree in one of the following streams:

  • Petroleum engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Chemical engineering
  • Non-students (passed out) of same streams can also apply

The candidate must be available for a continuous period for summer/ winter internship as mentioned in the brochure.

Announcement

Drilling Mentor’s internships are announced for summer and winter sessions well in advance. Following are the annual tentative schedule of internships.

Summer internship

Announcement               :  February/March
Registration period         :  February/ March to May
Internship period            :  June-July

Winter internship

Announcement               :  August/ September
Registration period         :  August/ September to November
Internship period            :  December-January

Reservation of seats

Reservation of seats can be done by registration only. There is no provision of reservation of seats based on caste and communities. All seats are open to national and international students on First Come First Serve basis.

Reservation of seats continues till vacancy exists. However, application of early weeks of registration period can guarantee the seat. Reply for seat confirmation against application can be received during the office time. Any communication for sure seating is not entertained.
